Exacta provides high-quality document translation and proofreading utilizing local native speakers and in-country linguists with deep technical expertise. Our translators are carefully selected for their depth of knowledge within particular industries such as health care, insurance, finance, engineering and social work settings.
While we do not heavily rely on machine-assisted translation, our PM team and linguists use SDL Trados, Multiterm, Translation Memory eXchange, and Wordfast among others.
Each translation assignment will pass through several steps and check points from the time Exacta receives it, until it is completed. The success of each assignment depends on all the steps within the established metrics being completed successfully.
VIDEO REMOTE INTERPRETING
VRI services are available on Scheduled or On-demand basis. This service allows for a more personal interaction experience due to existence of visual context and visual cues. Getting started with our VRI platform is easy; we don’t require purchase or rent of expensive equipment, all you need is internet access, a mobile device, tablet or computer with a webcam. While using Exacta’s high-resolution video and audio connections, you will be able to see and hear the interpreter as if they were right next to you in the room.
In addition we provide expertise and 24/7 support to make sure there is help when needed.
Exacta provides interpreters certified in American Sign Language Interpretation for on-demand VRI services
Alongside our linguistic services, Exacta has partnerships with transportation service providers to ensure seamless service throughout the entire province of Ontario including the GTA. Exacta will act as the contact company and accept all liabilities for both interpreting and transportation services.
All Exacta transportation vehicles operate under license issued by the Ontario Ministry of Transportation. All drivers operate under a class G driver’s license, all drivers’ licenses must be maintained in good standing and all drivers are required to submit a clean driving abstract every 6 months.
Additionally, drivers receive and must pass specialized training such as CPR/First aid Certification, Driver Safety, Customer Sensitivity Training, Code of Conduct Training and Environmental Policy
Medical centres regularly request to have chaperones present for consultations, examinations or procedures where they feel that one is required according to their chaperone policy. This is done to eliminate potential allegations and complaints by patients and to provide assurance for the patients and medical staff that best practices are being followed at all times and that the safety of everyone remains of paramount importance.
Exacta’s chaperones’ are trained professionals and remain present during the entirety of the medical appointment and examination; they are uninvolved and only existing as witnesses. Exacta screens all chaperone candidates carefully for competence, performs background and police checks and ensures that they abide by our privacy/confidentiality policy and have a service agreement on file with us.

Exacta provides American Sign Language (ASL) and Quebec Sign Language or Langue des Signes Quebecoise (LSQ) interpreters to Deaf or Hard of Hearing individuals and groups. All Exacta ASL and LSQ interpreters are professionally trained in sign language and are knowledgeable in the language and culture of both Deaf and hearing people. In cases where a deaf person has limited communication skills or uses non-standard ASL or gestures, it may be necessary to use a Deaf interpreter.
Exacta fully supports the exclusive employment of qualified ASL professionals who are Active members of the Association of Visual Language Interpreters of Canada (AVLIC). Exacta continues to develop and foster a professional relationship with AVLIC ASL interpreters in order to maintain our strong national coverage. Our network of ASL/LSQ Interpreters are available for emergencies and last minute requests.
LEGAL AND COURT INTERPRETING
Our legal interpreters are accredited through the Ministry of the Attorney General. They are highly trained, experienced and are qualified to attend court hearings, prison appointments, and visits to correctional facilities.

FACE TO FACE INTERPRETING
Exacta provides Consecutive and Simultaneous forms of interpretation:
- Consecutive interpretation: the interpreter speak after the source-language speaker has finished speaking and the speech is divided into segments.
- Simultaneous interpretation (conference interpreting): the interpreter renders the message in the target-language in parallel with the source language, while the source-language speaker continuously speaks.
Face-to-Face interpretation services cover a diverse range of sectors.
